Organised by Independent Street in collaboration with The Heaton Group, this large monthly artisan market brings together local makers, independent businesses, food producers and creative traders inside one of Wigan’s most distinctive historic locations.

What Type of Event Is It?

Wigan Artisan Market is a free, family-friendly community event celebrating independent businesses, handmade products, food, music and local creativity.

Visitors can expect around 80 carefully selected artisan stalls, alongside street food, live music and creative activities for children. The market takes place at the historic Cotton Works, where Wigan’s industrial heritage is being transformed into a new destination for shopping, eating, drinking and entertainment.

Many Farm Truck Designs products can be personalised or created using your own idea.

We can incorporate family names, favourite dog breeds, vehicles, business logos, military themes and special wording into selected products. Custom artwork for our hanging basket brackets is available without an additional artwork charge.

Bring a photograph, drawing or idea on your phone and have a chat with us at the market. We’ll explain what can be made and help turn your idea into a unique piece of metalwork.

Who Else Will Be There?

Independent Street’s complete trader roster can change between markets, but approximately 80 independent businesses are expected across handmade crafts, artwork, jewellery, skincare, homeware, gifts, baked goods, local produce and street food.

Traders with dated listings confirming their attendance on 9 August include:

• Atherton Honey – locally produced honey, bee products and honey tasters

• BohoCircle – Hill Tribe fine-silver jewellery, handmade leather keyrings and artisan leather etching

The food and drink offering continues inside Feast at the Mills, where the current resident food traders include Burger & Bird, Dough So Good, Quiero Tacos and Smoke on Deez.

Feast’s published entertainment programme also lists live music from Luke McColl between 3pm and 5pm. This is separate from any additional market entertainment arranged by Independent Street.

Formerly known as the Passion for Power Classic Motor Show, this newly evolved event brings together an incredible mix of classic and retro cars, heritage commercials, and automotive icons. It’s one of the standout shows of the year for enthusiasts — and we’re thrilled to be part of it.

We’re delighted to announce that Farm Truck Designs will be exhibiting at the Cheshire Signature Classic & Performance Motor Show at Arley Hall & Gardens on Sunday 6 September 2026!

Organised by Great British Motor Shows, this flagship outdoor motoring event brings together classic cars, motorcycles, performance vehicles, car clubs, private collectors and specialist traders in the beautiful grounds of Arley Hall.

What type of event is it?

This is a large classic and performance motor show aimed at motoring enthusiasts, collectors and families. The show is expected to include:

• Classic cars and modern classics manufactured before 2010

• Motorcycles and scooters from every era

• Kit cars, custom builds and modified vehicles

• Classic Land Rovers, 4x4s and off-road vehicles

• Sports cars, supercars and hypercars

• Retro and performance cars

• Light commercial and former military vehicles

• Car-club and private-owner displays

Throughout the day, the show arena will host vehicle displays, live commentary and awards including best-in-class prizes and the prestigious Vehicle of the Show award.

Bring a clear photograph of your vehicle to our stand and talk to us about creating a personalised metal design. Depending on the project, we can incorporate the vehicle’s silhouette, make, model, registration number or other distinctive details.

It is a brilliant way to celebrate a treasured vehicle or create a genuinely personal present for another motoring enthusiast.

What other exhibitors and traders will be there?

The organisers have confirmed car clubs, private exhibitors, specialist trade stands, an autojumble and food and refreshment stalls.

The trade and autojumble area is expected to include businesses selling items such as:

• Automotive gifts and collectors’ items

The Jaguar Drivers Club Lancashire has included the Arley Hall show in its 2026 members’ diary, although its listing does not confirm whether it will operate a formal club stand.

A complete named list of 2026 traders and clubs has not yet been published, so the final line-up may continue to change as the event approaches.

VIP area and Arley’s gardens

Visitors can upgrade their tickets to use the show’s VIP area, with options including breakfast pastries or an afternoon tea prepared by local caterers.

Please note that standard motor-show admission does not automatically include Arley Hall’s gardens. Garden admission must be purchased as an advance upgrade or paid separately through Arley Hall on the day.

Motor-show parking is listed as free and ample. Well-behaved dogs are welcome provided they remain on a lead, and food and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

This is an outdoor event held on an estate showfield, so please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear. Arley’s access statement explains that parts of the estate include grass, gravel and some inclines. Visitors with particular access requirements are advised to contact the venue before travelling.

We’re delighted to be returning to Bents Garden & Home for another fantastic weekend with Independent Street on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September 2026!

The Bents Artisan Market is a large, free-entry outdoor makers’ market featuring more than 80 independent stalls each day, alongside street food, live music and creative activities for children.

What type of event is it?

Organised by Independent Street, the Bents Artisan Market celebrates independent makers, bakers, artists, producers and small businesses from across the North West.

The market takes place outside Bents Garden & Home and is designed as a relaxed, family-friendly shopping experience where visitors can meet the people who design, make and produce the items on sale.

Independent Street describes Bents as one of its flagship Warrington events, bringing together more than 80 stalls each day.

Our metal garden range will be taking centre stage at this event, making Bents the perfect place to see our designs in person.

Our stall will include a selection of:

Our heavy-duty hanging basket brackets are made from 3mm steel, project approximately 30cm from the wall and have four mounting holes. They are suitable for baskets up to 20 inches and are locally powder coated for a durable outdoor finish.

Everything is designed and made by us at our family-run workshop in Lymm, Warrington.

Bring us your custom ideas

If you have been looking for a particular animal, vehicle, military emblem, hobby or personalised sign, come and talk to us at the market.

We can produce bespoke designs from photographs, drawings or your own ideas. Custom artwork for our hanging basket brackets is available at no additional design charge, making it easy to create something that is completely personal to you.

September is also an ideal time to start thinking about unusual handmade Christmas presents. Ordering early gives us more time to design, cut, weld and finish your commission before the busy festive period.

The market is held in the outside car park area at Bents Garden & Home, an award-winning, family-run garden, home and leisure destination in Glazebury.

Alongside the artisan market, visitors can explore Bents’ plants, garden products, homeware, gifts, food hall, pet department and dining areas. Bents also has family attractions and several places to stop for breakfast, lunch, coffee or cake. Charges may apply for certain attractions and activities.

The outdoor artisan market is dog friendly, but dogs must remain on a lead.

Bents welcomes dogs in selected areas, including The Pet Place, Pet Café, outside plant area, Open Skies Glasshouse and designated outdoor dining spaces. Only assistance dogs are permitted in the main indoor store and indoor restaurants.
